3rd Annual Fourth of July Barbeque Cook-off Rules and Regulations All teams participating in the cook-off must complete an entry form and pay a fee in the amount of $50. The deadline for submitting the entry form is June 25, 2007. There are three categories: pork, beef and chicken (no ribs will be judged) Each participant will be assigned a cooking place in the food court and we encourage you to sell barbeque to the public. You can set up after 12PM on Tuesday July 3rd because there will be events and people in the area from 5 PM to 8 PM on that day. The food court is located in the large parking lot behind Campbellsville Water Co at 110 South Columbia Ave. Contestants must provide all needed cooking equipment and supplies. Each space will have 30-amp electricity but each contestant will be responsible for extensions cords and hoses. There will be no refund of the entry fee for any reason after the committee accepts the application. Judging will start at 1:00 PM on July 4th and cash prizes will be awarded at the stage on Main Street before 3:00 PM. Entries will be judged on taste-10.0 pts, tenderness-10.0 pts, appearance-5.0 pts, and aroma-5.0 pts. The barbeque will be judged as it is submitted (with sauce on it or without sauce on it).
